Originally founded in 1978 as the Heliopolis British International School, the New Cairo British International School (NCBIS) is a non-selective, non-denominational international school serving Cairo’s international community ,It provides a British education and Western curriculum in Egypt.

Scope of work

CDC team was challenged to redesign the school spaces that would celebrate a progressive, vividly inspiring and open-minded educational environment rooted in the Egyptian multicultural richness.
The design responds to several major challenges, including the existing facility that was built more than 15 years ago, the short period allocated for execution due to operations restrictions .
The flexible school design includes formal teaching classrooms, science laboratories, administration areas, toilet facilities and others
