More than 150,000 residents of Beni Suef will soon have increased access to clean water and sanitation thanks to joint American and Egyptian projects planned and under way in the Governorate.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Egypt, announced new water and wastewater projects, which will benefit urban and rural residents of Beni Suef governorate.

The construction of a sewer system and two “slow sand filter” water treatment plants is funded with $5.3 million raising total funding for water and wastewater infrastructure work in the Beni Suef governorate to $50 million.
